New York, NY – Following his critically-acclaimed, award-winning performance in 2008’s Milk, rising star James Franco (Pineapple Express, Spider Man) stars opposite the captivating Sienna Miller (Factory Girl, G.I. Theirs was the wedding nobody wanted to see… Camille (Miller), the sweetest girl in all of Kentucky, just married the only man she has ever loved, Silas (Franco), a bad boy with a sordid past. The problem is Silas could care less about Camille and is hoping to use their “fantasy” honeymoon as a way to escape parole and flee to Canada. But on the way to Niagara Falls, events take a sudden, unexpected turn when their motorcycle collides with a passing truck. Camille pulls herself from the wreckage and seems unscathed, but soon Silas discovers that perhaps she didn’t survive the accident after all. It’s a long, winding road to happily ever after, and Camille is convinced that Niagara Falls will change Silas for the better. She may be right. Something magical is happening to both of them, and now Camille won’t let anything stand in the way of their life together… not even her own mortality!
CAMILLE also features a strong supporting cast, which includes David Carradine as a mystical roving show horseman, Scott Glenn as Camille’s soft-hearted uncle and Ed Lauter as a tough by-the-book lawman, who’s determined to bring Silas in.
The off-beat, honeymoon gone-awry road movie is the first feature film directed by Gregory Mackenzie. It was produced by Oscar-winning producer Al Ruddy (Million Dollar Baby, The Godfather), Steve Markoff, Dan Grodnik, Bruce McNall, Gregory Mackenzie and Brett Walsh. Written by Nick Pustay with a score by Mark Mancina (Training Day, August Rush), CAMILLE was shot on location in Toronto and Niagara Falls. It is rated PG-13 but the MPAA for some violence and brief partial nudity.
