Talented teen stars Seater (The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio) and Leggat (The Jerk Theory) star as Derek Venturi and Casey MacDonald, two typical teens – both used to being in charge -- whose lives are turned topsy-turvy when their parents marry and they end up living under the same roof. Derek – along with his brother Edwin and sister Marti – soon find “interesting” ways to welcome Casey and her sister Lizzie into their family, proving that life with Derek will never be dull!
Fans are introduced to Derek, Casey and their families in “The Room,” the very first LIFE WITH DEREK episode, during which the McDonald family moves in with the Venturi family, and Casey sets her sights on Derek’s room. In “House of Games,” the kids compete against each other in a series of games for dominance of valued areas of the house. Casey takes a stance in “Babe Raider,” declaring Derek’s favorite video game sexist and offensive, and than instilling a new set of feminist house rules. The battle continues in “Prank Wars” as Casey retaliates against Derek’s endless practical jokes.
