Armed with an over-the-top, campy acting style and the most identifiable chin in Hollywood, Bruce Campbell has, since the early ‘80s, cemented his B-movie stardom. With director (and high-school pal) Sam Raimi, he originated the role of “Ash” in the Evil Dead trilogy, a trio of unique horror/slapstick films that today are cult classic legends. And though the fan-favorite Campbell has gone on to star in many other films and TV series such as “The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.,” the horror genre has remained his calling card. Campbell will be starring in the upcoming 2008 film My Name is Bruce, which he directed and co-produced.
THE EVIL DEAD (1981) Rated R

Taking place in a remote cabin in the woods, five college students accidentally unleash an ancient demonic force that takes possession of them one-by-one. Inspired, in part, by H.P. Lovecraft, this first film in the horror trilogy was written, directed and edited by Sam Raimi, while Campbell starred, worked behind the camera and earned a co-executive producer credit. Deemed controversial for its graphic violence and gore, the film -- now a genre classic -- was initially turned down by all U.S. distributors.

Campbell makes a triumphant return as Ash Williams in this sequel, also directed by Raimi. While revisiting the rural cabin where the Book of the Dead – or Necronomicon – released its unspeakable evil, Ash is possessed, his hand is chopped off and replaced with an operational chainsaw, and he’s sent back to the Middle Ages where the final Evil Dead installment Army of Darkness picks up in 2002.

Based on the Bram Stoker Award nominee short story by acclaimed author Joe R. Lansdale and directed by horror veteran Don Coscarelli (Phantasm series), Bubba Ho-tep tells the incredible story of what really did become of Elvis. The King, masterfully played by Campbell, is now an elderly resident in an East Texas rest home after switching identities with an Elvis impersonator years before his “death”. Teaming up with Jack (Ossie Davis), a fellow resident who thinks that he is President John F. Kennedy, the two valiant codgers sally forth to battle an evil Egyptian entity who has chosen their long-term care facility as his happy hunting grounds.
As with all MONSTERS HD programs, all the films in THE BRUCE CAMPBELL TRIPLE FEATURE will air uncut and commercial-free in their original aspect ratios.
